Sr. Accounting Manager

About the role

This position involves managing key global accounting functions, including the general ledger, cloud infrastructure costs, and balance sheet integrity. You will lead a team while collaborating with the Finance Transformation group to modernize processes through automation and the upcoming SAP implementation.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles to ensure accuracy and strict control compliance.
• Oversee a small team, providing coaching and setting performance expectations.
• Integrate AI and automation tools to streamline manual calculations and improve reconciliation speed.
• Apply U.S. GAAP standards to complex areas such as vendor spend, usage-based accruals, fixed assets, and leases.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity through detailed reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Standardize global accounting workflows to ensure regional consistency.
• Partner with the Finance Transformation team to redesign processes and improve data quality.
• Manage SOX compliance documentation and support external audit requirements.
• Contribute to the SAP implementation, including process design, testing, and post-launch stabilization.
• Coordinate with FP&A, Procurement, and AP departments to resolve accounting issues.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with ownership of global close areas.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification.
• Proven expertise in U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to deploy or evaluate AI and automation tools within finance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP.
• Prior work in public accounting.
• Familiarity with FloQast, Zip, or Emburse.
• Experience with data platforms like Databricks.
