This role involves providing deep scientific and technical guidance to partners, accelerating the adoption of an AI platform for next-generation materials. You will build technical enablement frameworks and serve as a key scientific advisor.

What you'll do
- Serve as the main technical and scientific contact for partners, including technical leaders and computational chemists.
- Offer expert scientific advice on using CuspAI's platform to solve complex materials challenges like semiconductor performance or carbon capture.
- Lead technical workshops, code-alongs, and scientific demonstrations for expert external audiences.
- Create scalable developer resources such as technical documentation, sample notebooks, APIs, and reference guides for advanced materials science.
- Provide hands-on technical support for partner Discovery Sprints.
- Collaborate with AI Research, Computational Chemistry, and Product teams to integrate partner feedback into platform development.
- Work with Marketing and PR to co-author case studies, whitepapers, and technical blog posts showcasing materials breakthroughs.
Requirements
- Demonstrated interest in how AI can transform materials science and a desire to bring sustainable technologies to humanity.
- Strong academic background or equivalent professional experience in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or Electrical Engineering, enabling peer-level scientific discussions.
- Practical experience with computational chemistry tools, molecular simulation software, or Python-based data science workflows (e.g., PyTorch, ASE, RDKit).
- Proven experience in developer relations, technical partner engineering, or application science, preferably in a high-growth startup, deep-tech, or advanced materials company.
- Excellent communication skills, able to clearly explain abstract scientific concepts and complex AI platform workflows to technical audiences.
Nice to have
- Experience managing joint developer or research ecosystem programs with major hardware technology companies.
- Direct professional background in a semiconductor foundry, design firm, or electronics materials supplier.
- Fluency in a second language relevant to global hubs (e.g., Japanese, Korean, German).
- Understanding of crystallography, materials properties, and advanced machine learning models for property prediction.

Practical notes
This role can also be based in Cambridge, Amsterdam, or Berlin. Expect to be in the office three days per week and undertake regular travel for collaboration.
