Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Curi Bio is looking for a senior engineer to build cloud and desktop software that powers our scientific instruments and data analysis tools. You will work within a small team to architect new systems and set technical standards for our software development lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain software from initial concept through final release.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project requirements.
• Design features for both desktop and cloud-based platforms.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and documentation to ensure high code quality.
• Manage project timelines, milestones, and scope.
• Improve existing codebases by deciding when to build, refactor, or simplify.
• Mentor junior team members on engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of full-time professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience building SaaS products.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Javascript and Solid.
• Experience with Rust, or strong systems experience with a willingness to learn Rust.
• Fluent in English.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis.
• Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.
