About the role

Join the Market Regulation team at Derivatives North America to oversee trading activity on a regulated exchange. You will monitor market integrity for event contracts and futures products while ensuring adherence to CFTC standards.

What you'll do

• Perform live surveillance of exchange activity and security feeds to detect market manipulation like spoofing or wash trading.
• Track participant adherence to position limits and margin requirements.
• Investigate flagged transactions through forensic analysis and post-trade reviews.
• Interview participants, gather evidence, and draft formal reports for the Chief Regulatory Officer.
• Assist with regulatory audits and inquiries.
• Help update surveillance protocols and internal compliance frameworks.
• Coordinate with Risk, Legal, and Technology departments to refine monitoring workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Math, Finance, Economics, or a Juris Doctorate.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in financial services compliance.
• Background in prediction markets or derivatives.
• Professional history in crypto or traditional finance.
• Understanding of commodities, futures trading, and market regulation.
• Proficiency with trade surveillance software.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by the exchange.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with federal regulators and executive leadership.
