About the role
Crux is seeking an IT Lead to manage all aspects of our technology infrastructure. This role will oversee vendor relationships, contract management, hardware and software provisioning, and the overall employee technology experience, including the implementation of security policies.

What you'll do
- Manage the complete employee technology lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, including single sign-on provisioning.
- Expedite the process for SOC2 audit requests by providing necessary evidence and managing control areas.
- Regularly review all IT systems to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize usage.
- Oversee vendor contract negotiations and manage SaaS spending.
- Administer and maintain employee devices and endpoint management tools.
Requirements
- Possess 4-7 years of experience in IT roles, preferably as the primary IT owner in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Demonstrate hands-on proficiency with core startup IT tools such as Google Workspace, a mobile device management (MDM) platform, an identity provider, SSO/SAML, and SaaS lifecycle management software.
- Have direct experience supporting SOC2 audits, including evidence collection and control management.
- Proven ability to negotiate SaaS agreements and reduce vendor expenses.
- Experience managing both Mac and Windows operating systems.
- A proactive approach to automation, seeking to eliminate manual IT processes.
- Regular, practical application of AI tools in daily IT tasks, with an expectation to explore and implement new AI solutions.
- Capacity to work independently, manage a high volume of requests, and dedicate time to strategic IT initiatives.
Nice to have
- Prior experience running IT operations at a rapidly growing startup.
- Experience in security management, including identifying potential risks.
- Background working within a regulated industry.

Practical notes
