About the role
Join Crusoe's tax team to oversee all aspects of income tax. This role involves managing compliance, accounting for income taxes, and strategic planning. You will report directly to the Director, Income Tax.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Supervise the preparation and timely submission of all federal, state, and international tax returns.
- Maintain tax calendars, manage estimated payments, and handle extensions to ensure accurate and timely filings across all jurisdictions.
- Support external consultants in preparing and filing statutory financial statements for foreign entities.
- Oversee quarterly and annual income tax provisions (ASC 740), including calculations for current and deferred income taxes, ETR reconciliation, and documentation for financial disclosures.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including SOX controls.
- Identify and implement tax planning strategies to manage the company's tax exposure and optimize cash flow.
- Monitor new and proposed tax legislation, assessing its impact on company operations and financial statements.
- Research and communicate technical tax topics to accounting leadership.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior tax associates.
- Improve internal tax processes and technology for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate with company personnel to gather necessary information for US tax filings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- At least 5 years of corporate tax experience.
Nice to have
- Master's degree.
- CPA license.
- Experience with SEC public company reporting.
- Experience with foreign income tax provisions.
