Security Program Manager

About the role

Crusoe is seeking a Security Program Manager to oversee the physical security strategy for its expanding portfolio of data center construction projects. This role involves managing security systems from initial design through installation and operational transition. It requires expertise in physical security, construction project management, and the ability to lead complex initiatives across various teams and locations.

What you'll do

• Direct physical security implementation for multiple data center construction projects.
• Manage the entire project lifecycle, including design reviews, budgets, schedules, and closeout.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Evaluate security drawings, specifications, and submissions against company and customer standards.
• Apply security principles to access control, surveillance, intrusion detection, and perimeter protection.
• Oversee multi-million dollar budgets and identify project risks.
• Develop consistent security standards, quality assurance, and operational procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, installation reviews, and commissioning activities.
• Clearly communicate technical decisions, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the long-term physical security strategy as the data center portfolio grows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in physical security project management, security systems deployment, or construction management.
• Background in data centers, critical infrastructure, or similar complex environments.
• Practical knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and perimeter security systems.
• Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and related documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, contractors, and consultants.
• Experience managing multiple projects, locations, budgets, and priorities.
• Strong communication, organization, judgment, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Familiarity with construction management platforms like Procore.
• Working knowledge of networking, servers, and system integrations for physical security platforms.
• Ability to read and annotate construction drawings and technical specifications.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Security Management, or a related field.
• CPP, PSP, PMP, CPTED, or relevant security systems certification.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software.

Practical notes

Travel: Approximately 25%-30% travel is expected for design meetings, site visits, inspections, and commissioning.
