About the role
Join Crusoe's Finance team as a Senior Finance Manager, providing crucial analytical support to the Sales and Revenue organization. You will collaborate with Sales, Deal Desk, and Revenue Operations to enhance pricing, structure deals, develop revenue forecasts, and translate sales data into actionable business insights. This role offers high visibility for a finance leader interested in shaping growth measurement and prediction.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the complete revenue forecast model, incorporating pipeline, bookings, and consumption data, and refine it as deal patterns change.
- Assist Sales and Deal Desk with complex and large deals, assessing pricing, discounts, margin impact, and contract terms for competitive and financially sound outcomes.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor pipeline health, conversion rates, win rates, and booking trends, explaining the data to Sales and executive leadership.
- Lead monthly and quarterly analyses comparing forecasted to actual revenue, identifying discrepancies and collaborating with Sales leadership on corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain guidelines for evaluating deal profitability, discount limits, and contract terms, ensuring consistency in the deal desk process.
- Serve as the finance liaison for Sales, Revenue Operations, and Legal on deal-related financial inquiries, and represent the commercial forecast in broader FP&A planning.
- Improve and automate sales and revenue reporting processes to shift focus from data compilation to analysis.
Requirements
- 7 or more years of progressive finance experience, with significant time supporting a sales or revenue organization, including deal desk or pricing responsibilities.
- Proven experience owning a revenue or bookings forecast in a subscription, usage-based, or enterprise sales setting.
- Advanced financial modeling capabilities, including building driver-based models and scenario analyses from scratch.
- Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and experience with CRM and BI tools such as Salesforce, Looker, or Tableau.
- Excellent business partnering skills, with the ability to constructively challenge sales assumptions and influence senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable navigating uncertainty and adapting quickly in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related analytical field.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting a sales organization selling infrastructure, cloud, or other technical/enterprise products.
- Previous ownership of deal desk functions, including discount approval workflows and non-standard contract review.
- Experience establishing or significantly improving a revenue forecasting process at a growing company.
- MBA or CFA certification.
