About the role
Crusoe is seeking a Director, Development to oversee the delivery of large-scale AI data center campuses, each valued over $1 billion. This role is crucial for physical project execution, covering the entire development lifecycle from permitting to site delivery and contractor management. You will be the primary development leader for key projects, ensuring successful completion and mitigating execution risks.

What you'll do
- Lead the execution of multi-billion dollar data center campuses from initial planning to final delivery.
- Direct construction managers, engineering teams, and external consultants.
- Create and maintain master project schedules, coordinating design, permitting, and construction milestones.
- Manage the oversight of entitlements and permitting processes with government agencies.
- Identify and proactively resolve execution risks before they impact project timelines.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for government agencies and internal engineering stakeholders.
- Coordinate utility requirements and municipal approval processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in real estate development, preferably in industrial, life sciences, or infrastructure sectors.
- Extensive experience overseeing large-scale development projects from start to finish.
- Strong working knowledge of construction contracts and development-related agreements.
- Ability to operate strategically and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with utility coordination, permitting timelines, and municipal approval processes.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
