About the role
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in automating and enhancing the systems that support our streaming services. Collaborating closely with various teams, you will lead initiatives focused on infrastructure automation and continuous integration and delivery, ensuring that best practices are adhered to throughout the process.

What you'll do
- Drive projects related to infrastructure automation and scaling, ensuring timely completion and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand their requirements and empower them to deliver high-quality software independently.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in DevOps and infrastructure management.
- At least 8 years of experience in production environments, integrating DevOps and software engineering practices.
- Over 5 years of experience managing containerized environments using ECS or Kubernetes.
- Strong skills in automation and creating reusable solutions.
- Proficient in GitOps methodologies and CI/CD tools, including GitHub Actions and CodeDeploy, as well as infrastructure automation within CI/CD pipelines.
- More than 5 years of experience with AWS and its key services, such as ECS, S3, SQS, Lambda, and using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Pulumi and Terraform.
- Proficient in TypeScript, with familiarity in other programming languages such as Go or Python.
- Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., DynamoDB).
- Experience mentoring software engineers on production best practices and sharing expertise across teams.
- Familiarity with designing and deploying solutions that comply with data sovereignty regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Collaborate with other engineers to create tools and systems that support services and enhance software delivery quality.
Nice to have
- Understanding of streaming video delivery, encoding workflows, and scalability challenges in video services.
- Familiarity with big data and payment systems.
- Knowledge of security principles, including cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security protocols.
- Experience with HashiCorp tools such as Vault and Packer.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Practical notes
The compensation for this role ranges from $200,000 to $249,000 USD, depending on factors like location, experience, and performance. This salary is part of a comprehensive benefits package that includes performance bonuses, retirement savings plans with employer matching, flexible time off, and various health benefits.
