Senior AI Engineer

About the role

The Enterprise Technology team is developing AI-native engineering capabilities to improve how software is designed, built, and deployed. This role focuses on applying AI-assisted engineering to internal projects while ensuring high standards for security, quality, and production readiness.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Develop and deploy production software including APIs, services, data models, and user interfaces.
• Manage AI coding agents by creating specifications, implementation plans, and verification procedures.
• Validate AI-generated code, pull requests, and tests for security, maintainability, and operational health.
• Define and standardize AI-assisted workflows for Enterprise Technology initiatives.
• Build and maintain data-intensive, integration-heavy systems.
• Extend AI tooling, including context management, repo access, and delivery templates.
• Monitor delivery metrics such as cycle time, test coverage, cost, and quality.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, and business stakeholders to deliver maintainable systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in hands-on software engineering, technical leadership, or Staff-level roles.
• Professional experience with Python and/or TypeScript in cloud-native, backend, or frontend environments.
• Practical experience with AI coding agents like Cursor, Claude Code, Google Antigravity, or Codex.
• Strong technical judgment regarding human oversight of AI-generated work.
• Experience with relational databases, event-driven systems, and API integrations.
• Familiarity with cloud-native development, specifically GCP, including CI/CD and monitoring.
• Knowledge of secure engineering, SSO, role-based access, and audit logging.
• Ability to mentor engineers and influence technical strategy.

Nice to have

• Background in enterprise systems, business applications, or internal developer platforms.
• Experience in media, streaming, or complex business domains.
• Experience with LLM observability tools like LangSmith, Langfuse, or Datadog.
• Experience with compliance-sensitive environments, SOX controls, or data migrations.
