About the role
We are seeking a Cloud Architect to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves designing and implementing scalable solutions that enhance system performance. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that our cloud architecture aligns with business needs.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Design and implement scalable microservices-based solutions on AWS to improve system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to convert business requirements into detailed technical designs.
- Create and maintain infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, and other relevant tools to facilitate efficient deployment and management.
- Ensure that solutions adhere to both functional and non-functional requirements, including reliability, security, and performance benchmarks.
- Provide mentorship to stakeholders on best practices in cloud architecture and current trends to promote knowledge sharing and skill enhancement.
- Document architectural decisions and clearly communicate complex concepts to various audiences throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Significant experience in architecting and deploying applications based on microservices.
- Extensive hands-on experience with core AWS services and infrastructure as code.
- Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for cloud-native container orchestration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to effectively convey technical information.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
