What you'll do
- Design and implement comprehensive automated testing frameworks that align with our development processes and business objectives.
- Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify testing requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and technologies, ensuring they are scalable and maintainable.
- Conduct regular reviews of existing test cases and frameworks to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in best practices for automation and testing methodologies.
- Analyze test results and report findings to the development team, providing actionable insights to enhance product quality.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in automation testing tools and methodologies, incorporating them into our processes as appropriate.
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure that testing considerations are integrated into the development process from the outset.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring rapid feedback loops for development teams.
- Document testing processes, methodologies, and results to create a knowledge base for future reference and training.
- Assist in the development of performance and load testing strategies to ensure our applications can handle expected user loads.
- Work closely with product teams to understand user requirements and translate them into effective testing strategies.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years focused on automation testing.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or similar.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C#, with the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
- In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, particularly Agile and DevOps practices.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar, and the ability to integrate automated tests into these pipelines.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions in a fast-paced environment.
