About the role
Cresta Labs is an agile, high-ownership unit dedicated to designing and developing the next generation of AI-native products. You will operate at the intersection of user research, applied AI, and engineering to transform early concepts into scalable, production-ready solutions.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop AI product experiences from initial concept through prototyping, validation, and production.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, researchers, and engineers to uncover high-impact opportunities.
- Convert ambiguous customer requirements into functional workflows, user interfaces, and technical architectures.
- Construct and refine workflows for AI agent development, including testing, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Analyze product data and user feedback to iterate on features and improve system performance.
- Produce technical documentation, product notes, and demos to align cross-functional teams.
- Establish the technical and product quality standards for AI-native features at the company.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a software or machine learning engineer working on user-facing systems.
- Proven track record of shipping major features or products with full end-to-end ownership.
- Practical experience working with LLMs, AI agents, AI workflows, or applied ML.
- Ability to distill complex technical concepts into intuitive user experiences.
- Comfort navigating ambiguous problem spaces where solutions are not clearly defined.
- Proficiency in rapid prototyping while maintaining high engineering standards.
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse, cross-functional stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience creating evaluation and testing frameworks for machine learning systems.
- A practical approach to validation using user research, instrumentation, and metrics.
- Background working in startup environments or fast-paced product organizations.
