Costco Wholesale is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to support the technical infrastructure of our global retail operations. You will join a team focused on building next-generation cloud solutions while maintaining the employee-centric culture that defines our organization.

What you'll do

• Assist value streams with troubleshooting and adhering to infrastructure as code standards.
• Provide technical guidance during the design and operational phases of cloud projects.
• Manage the onboarding process for value streams into cloud environments.
• Monitor cloud platform performance against service level agreements in coordination with vendors.
• Analyze usage patterns to inform strategic architecture and cost optimization decisions.
• Develop cloud platform standards based on capacity, capability, and cost requirements.
• Utilize cloud-native and third-party tools to ensure environment stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather feedback and deliver results.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional IT experience.
• Proven experience implementing infrastructure as code practices across large organizations using Google, Azure, or AWS.
• Proficiency with reporting tools including Dynatrace, Grafana, Datadog, Big Query, PowerBI, and cloud-native dashboards.
• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Copilot, and GHAS.
• Practical knowledge of Google and Azure infrastructure service offerings.
• Experience developing and implementing Terraform solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot networking issues and cloud service configurations.
• Experience creating and presenting technical documentation to various organizational levels.
• Understanding of infrastructure, network, and application architecture.
• Availability for off-hours work, including weekends, holidays, and rotational 24/7 on-call duties.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience deploying enterprise cloud technologies.
• 5+ years of experience with enterprise software and infrastructure systems.
• Professional certifications in Terraform, Google, Azure, or Networking.
• Experience with GKE, AKS, Kubernetes, and Artifactory.
• Knowledge of Scrum or Kanban agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace applications.

Practical notes

• Salary ranges: Level 1 ($85k-$110k), Level 2 ($105k-$135k), Level 3 ($130k-$160k), Level SR ($150k-$190k), Level STF ($180k-$225k).
• Level SR and STF positions are eligible for bonuses and Restricted Stock Units.
