What you'll do
- Design and oversee the implementation of testing processes aimed at continuous improvement.
- Promote the adoption of best practices and standards for software testing and automation integration.
- Identify issues, analyze quality risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Assist in formulating testing strategies for complex technical projects.
- Manage and eliminate roadblocks for both onshore and offshore quality teams.
- Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members while enhancing existing processes.
- Mentor team members to boost their skills and productivity.
- Effectively manage the functional and automation team backlog in collaboration with QA leadership.
- Measure and report on organizational performance against established quality metrics.
- Define testing strategies to validate new or enhanced functionalities.
- Guide team members in breaking down requirements into actionable test plans.
- Identify dependencies related to QA environments, tools, training, and communication processes.
- Collaborate with team members to address risks that could delay product delivery.
- Assist team members in diagnosing issues with failed test scripts.
- Support the identification of manual and automated tests affected by new feature developments.
- Provide constructive feedback during retrospectives regarding the quality of sprint deliverables.
- Manage the resolution of defects identified throughout the development lifecycle and generate quality reports for stakeholders.
- Work with product teams to establish automated testing strategies for various applications.
- Develop testing protocols to enhance end-to-end testing results and share best practices with other Quality Engineers.
- Collaborate with DevOps Engineers and Systems Architects to integrate new automated tests into the CI pipeline.
- Share automation practices to foster early testing within the development cycle.
- Maintain regular attendance at your designated workplace.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in quality assurance within a technology delivery environment.
- At least 8 years of experience with web and internet technologies.
- Over 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience.
- Experience coaching and leading QA teams in a Scrum environment.
- Knowledge of web UI and backend automation.
- Familiarity with testing Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Microservices.
- Proficiency in Java (or a similar programming language).
- Experience with Microsoft SQL or comparable relational databases.
- Background in CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of XML/JSON and web-based SOAP/RESTful services.
- Knowledge of security and performance testing methodologies.
- A proactive approach to self-improvement and team collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical mindset.
- Familiarity with the travel industry is a plus.
Nice to have
- Understanding of multi-tier application architecture (presentation, service, data).
- Experience working with offshore teams.
- Familiarity with Splunk and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing.
- Experience with mobile and responsive web applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Internal candidates should have at least one year of experience on their current team.

Pay Ranges
Level 3 - $130,000 - $160,000
Senior - $150,000 - $190,000, eligible for bonus and Restricted Stock Units (RSU)
