V1 Video Engineer, Live Events at Convene Hospitality Group.
About the role
Convene Hospitality Group is hiring experienced video engineers to join our in-house production team in Manhattan. You will manage high-end visual systems for corporate meetings and large-scale brand activations.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Configure and operate large-format video switchers including Analog Way Aquilons and Ascenders.
- Manage complex video processing for LED video walls and projector blends.
- Perform real-time troubleshooting to ensure event continuity.
- Coordinate with production staff and event planners to meet specific visual requirements.
- Maintain and inspect video hardware, performing routine repairs as needed.
- Provide technical guidance to clients and internal team members.
- Track equipment inventory and document setup configurations.
- Enforce safety standards throughout all event production phases.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a V1 Video Engineer in events or hospitality.
- Proficiency with Analog Way Aquilons and Ascenders.
- Technical expertise in layer 1 and layer 2 canvas management for LED walls and projector blends.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and evenings.
- Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to technical execution.
Nice to have
- Degree or professional certification in broadcast technology, video engineering, or a related field.
