About the role

Convene Hospitality Group is entering a period of global expansion supported by 230 million dollars in new financing. We are seeking a senior executive to direct the physical development of our portfolio, turning site acquisitions into high-performing hospitality assets. You will report to the Chief Growth Officer and lead the strategy for design, engineering, and project delivery.

What you'll do

• Establish a development lifecycle that ensures projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Collaborate with the Real Estate team to evaluate technical and financial feasibility for new locations.
• Manage the global development budget, focusing on cost management and value engineering to meet return targets.
• Direct external partners including architects, contractors, and engineers to ensure compliance with brand standards.
• Provide data-driven reporting to the board and executive leadership regarding capital expenditure and project status.
• Mentor a distributed team and foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Coordinate with Legal, Operations, and Finance departments to ensure project alignment.

Requirements

• 15 plus years of leadership experience in construction and real estate development.
• Proven history of scaling multi-unit hospitality or premium retail brands.
• Deep knowledge of structural, MEP, and site infrastructure systems.
• Experience applying Agile or Scrum frameworks to physical construction projects.
• Ability to manage capital expenditure with the rigor of a P&L owner.
• Strong communication skills for presenting complex financial and technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
• Must reside within commuting distance of New York City.
• Ability to travel for site visits and project milestones.

Practical notes

• Base Salary: 250,000 to 285,000 dollars per year.
• Bonus: Eligible for annual performance-based bonus with a 50 percent target.
