Key facts
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain network architecture for corporate and customer-facing multi-tenant environments.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to automate client provisioning and routine tasks.
- Contribute to network improvements, including code, hardware, and application software upgrades.
- Work with vendors and service providers to maintain optimal production environment performance.
- Develop, maintain, and improve network automation and cloud/server compute platforms.
- Manage and enhance the AWS-based cloud networking environment.
- Monitor network health across locations, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Participate in daily network operations and an on-call rotation.
- Innovate and continuously seek out new technologies and process improvements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience deploying, maintaining, and managing enterprise networks.
- Deep understanding of core networking concepts, including Layer 2/3 routing, multi-site VPN, WiFi, and cloud networking in enterprise WAN architectures.
- Technical background in hosted services, covering infrastructure networks, hardware, software, and telecommunications.
- Hands-on experience with Juniper JunOS (SRX, EX, QFX platforms).
- Familiarity with 802.11ax/802.11be WiFi architecture, technologies, and operations.
- Proficiency in IGMP, PIM, and other multicast protocols.
- Ability to develop, deploy, and maintain WAN architecture using SD-WAN, MPLS, VPLS, and L2L VPN tunnels.
- Experience with automated network monitoring tools and building full network automation platforms using tools like Ansible.
- Prior experience troubleshooting wireless networks, knowledge of WiFi technologies, 802.11 standards, RADIUS, and AAA accounting.
- Hands-on experience with Linux server operating systems (RHEL-based preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail, testing, and documentation skills.
- Well-versed in network design concepts, including WAN architecture, network security engineering, and system design.
- Experience building and maintaining KVM-based virtual environments.
- Focused on optimizing systems and building scalable network architecture.
- Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking systems.
- Adaptable and collaborative, comfortable with diverse responsibilities.
