About the role
You will oversee daily event operations and lead the service team to ensure high-quality delivery for our clients. This role focuses on maintaining service standards, managing culinary coordination, and fostering a positive environment for both staff and guests.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the setup and service of culinary offerings according to Program Execution Orders.
- Direct the service team, including support staff, maintenance, security, and utility personnel.
- Act as the bridge between the culinary and service departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Track inventory levels and provide accurate counts to the culinary team.
- Enforce safety protocols, emergency procedures, and health and sanitation regulations.
- Train service specialists to uphold company standards.
- Perform opening and closing inspections to maintain cleanliness in front and back of house areas.
- Support service technicians by performing their duties when necessary.
- Maintain professional interactions with guests and associates.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in a conference center or related hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation, health department rules, and liquor regulations.
- Understanding of various service types and industry standards.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, and twisting.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 kg without help.
- Flexibility to work long hours as required.
