About the role

Convene Rathbone is a new 54,000-square-foot venue at One Rathbone Square in London, scheduled to open in Spring 2027. This role leads the sales strategy for the site, focusing on high-profile social and corporate bookings including galas, brand showcases, and evening receptions. You will join the opening team to establish the venue's market presence and drive revenue growth from the ground up.

What you'll do

• Prospect and secure new business across corporate and social sectors through aggressive networking and outreach.
• Manage the full sales lifecycle from initial lead inquiry to final contract execution.
• Maintain and expand a network of industry partners, including event agencies and production firms.
• Negotiate high-value agreements while balancing client needs with internal revenue targets.
• Monitor the London competitive landscape to inform sales strategy and pricing.
• Take ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue performance.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in high-volume corporate and social event sales within the London market.
• Established network of industry contacts, including third-party planners and production companies.
• Demonstrated history of surpassing revenue targets.
• Proficiency in contract management and understanding of event operations.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to qualify and close complex deals.
