What you'll do

• Inform customers about available products and services.
• Maintain consistent, high-quality product standards and service levels.
• Follow all company beverage recipes and preparation guidelines.
• Pass monthly re-certifications promptly.
• Develop knowledge of coffee and tea regions and their distinct flavors.
• Create weekly beverage specials and coordinate pairings with on-site events.
• Prepare espresso and tea beverages skillfully.
• Greet customers with personalized service, learning their names and preferences.
• Confirm customer orders verbally.
• Report customer complaints to the manager on duty.
• Address potential customer service issues proactively.
• Demonstrate full knowledge of the coffee and food menus.
• Process sales accurately using the Point of Sale system.
• Answer questions about beverage and menu item preparation and ingredients.
• Weigh, grind, and package coffee according to company standards.
• Sell and serve baked goods and other food items.
• Arrange and restock food displays.
• Ensure efficient and friendly service.
• Replenish paper goods and other service items as needed.
• Clean the bar area, floors, windows, and grinders regularly, and manage trash removal.
• Deliver food orders to tables, adhering to service standards.
• Collaborate with the Culinary team for timely food order delivery.
• Complete assigned side work.
• Assist with weekly shipments.
• Bus, maintain, and clean common areas and shared meeting rooms within the Cafe.
• Report potential safety hazards and employee accidents to the manager.
• Inform the manager of any operational inconsistencies.

Requirements

• Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Be well-organized and attentive to detail.
• Capable of lifting and moving items up to 30 pounds regularly.
• Able to adjust vision for various lighting conditions and focus on both distant and close-range tasks.
• Regularly handle food and hot beverages.
• Strong coffee knowledge, with the ability to train peers.
