Back of House Event Attendant

About the role

The Mallory, a 50,000-square-foot venue in New York City, is seeking a dedicated attendant to support event operations. You will ensure the facility remains in pristine condition while providing essential behind-the-scenes support for high-profile gatherings.

What you'll do

• Maintain immaculate standards for restrooms, common areas, and client spaces throughout events.
• Manage waste and recycling flows to keep service corridors and back-of-house areas safe and organized.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, including moving furniture and equipment.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen, front-of-house, and back-of-house equipment according to safety regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as polishing, painting touch-ups, and lighting adjustments.
• Coordinate deliveries and provide oversight for vendors during the event lifecycle.
• Use internal systems to report facility repair needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial, janitorial, facilities support, or hospitality roles.
• Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliability and a service-oriented approach to work.
• Capacity to work independently while remaining responsive to team needs.
