About the role
This role involves leading Conga's global accounting operations, ensuring financial reporting accuracy, and managing compliance. You will oversee daily accounting tasks and develop scalable processes for a fast-growing SaaS environment. This position requires hands-on leadership, contributing directly to key financial deliverables.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Guide the global accounting function, maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and close processes.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and build scalable processes for a high-growth SaaS business.
- Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, Legal, and other business leaders to align operational and financial outcomes.
- Actively contribute to month-end close, annual audits, and technical accounting matters.
- Lead annual audits and work with external auditors.
- Implement process improvements to enhance scalability and efficiency.
- Shorten close cycles and improve the precision of reporting.
- Partner with various internal teams like Billing, AR, and FP&A.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
- Experience in a SaaS or technology-driven organization.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
- Expertise in managing month-end and quarter-end close processes.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606), subscription models, and billing integrations.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance frameworks.
Nice to have
- CPA certification.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like NetSuite or similar.
- Experience with financial reporting and consolidation tools.
- Experience partnering with FP&A systems such as Adaptive or Anaplan.
