About the role

This position is central to our revenue operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in customer billing and revenue recognition. The specialist supports daily billing, month-end and quarter-end close activities, and contributes to financial reporting integrity. This role also involves identifying and implementing process improvements to scale billing operations.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Prepare daily customer billing and ensure accuracy.
• Support month-end and quarter-end financial close processes.
• Collaborate with various internal teams like Sales, Business Operations, Customer Success, AR, Accounting, Finance, IT, and Legal to resolve billing inquiries.
• Ensure billing aligns with contract terms.
• Contribute to annual audit readiness and strengthen internal controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements within billing operations.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to solve problems independently.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Skill in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent time management abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Prior billing experience with a SaaS company.
• Experience supporting billing operations in a high-growth SaaS or subscription business.
• Proficiency in Excel for large datasets, reconciliations, and discrepancy identification.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar ERP/billing platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to recommend and implement process improvements in finance or billing.
• Experience supporting month-end and quarter-end close, collaborating with Accounting and Finance.
• Exposure to annual audit processes, understanding controls and documentation.
• Proven ability to partner cross-functionally to resolve complex billing issues.
• Strong analytical mindset for problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to balance accuracy and speed in a high-volume environment.
• Excellent communication skills to explain billing concepts to various stakeholders.
