Senior Product Manager, Kafka Connect

About the role

In the position of Senior Product Manager for the Kafka Connect team at Confluent, you will play a key role in advancing our data streaming platform. Your focus will be on enhancing Confluent Connect's Enterprise feature set and facilitating high-quality integration between Kafka and various external systems. You will also support both on-premise installations and managed services within Confluent Cloud, while exploring AI and ML capabilities for product enhancements.

What you'll do

• Oversee a significant product initiative, guiding it from initial idea and customer engagement through to growth strategy.
• Serve as the go-to expert for your product, ensuring that engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams have the necessary resources to make informed decisions, develop the right product, and achieve market success.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in a software product management role, preferably with an Enterprise technical product.
• Strong understanding of enterprise customer needs and a commitment to addressing their challenges through software solutions, with a hands-on approach when necessary.
• Proven ability to develop a product strategy and roadmap in collaboration with customers, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying technical concepts for a non-technical audience.
• Solid technical background, particularly in distributed data systems, public and private cloud environments, and stream processing.
• Familiarity with modern integration platforms is advantageous.
• Experience with Enterprise software features such as security, networking, and observability is a plus.
• An MBA is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

Compensation Range: $193,200 - $227,000
