About the role
Condé Nast is seeking a Principal Product Manager to oversee the digital strategy and user experience for GQ and Pitchfork. You will define the product vision for these distinct media brands, balancing their unique editorial voices with commercial goals and audience growth. This role requires a hands-on leader who is comfortable prototyping, using data to drive decisions, and integrating AI into the product lifecycle.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Direct the product roadmap and strategy for GQ and Pitchfork across web and future platforms.
- Refine the Pitchfork subscription model and optimize GQ's commerce and shopping experiences.
- Manage a rigorous experimentation program, including A/B and multivariate testing.
- Define and track key performance indicators such as retention, engagement depth, and conversion.
- Build and test prototypes to validate concepts before full-scale engineering development.
- Integrate AI tools to enhance features like search, content discovery, and personalized recommendations.
- Partner with editorial teams to ensure digital products align with brand identity and voice.
- Establish OKRs and manage cross-functional workflows with design, engineering, and project management.
Requirements
- 10+ years of product management experience in consumer-facing digital media or publishing.
- Bachelor or Master degree.
- Demonstrated ability to ship successful web products and interpret complex product data.
- Proven experience running A/B testing programs and conducting funnel or cohort analysis.
- Proficiency in prototyping tools such as Figma, no-code platforms, and AI-driven development tools.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to build business cases and connect product decisions to revenue.
- Experience navigating large organizations and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Deep familiarity with the editorial landscapes of men's lifestyle, fashion, and music.
- Base salary range: $185,000 to $215,000 per year.
