About the role
This position is for a full-stack engineer to join the AI Integration Team, which supports Commure's core products, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and Ambient. The team ensures smooth data exchange between the platform and over 40 Electronic Medical Records (EMRs). You will fetch and write critical patient data, directly impacting care delivery.

What you'll do
- Create and deploy integration solutions for our platform and external healthcare systems, focusing on performance and reliability.
- Use advanced LLM technology to automate the analysis of electronic health records.
- Work with product, engineering, and healthcare teams to define integration needs and technical approaches.
- Guide the technical direction of the integration platform by suggesting architectural and tool enhancements.
- Manage integration workflows from initial design through deployment and ongoing monitoring.
- Identify and resolve performance issues and troubleshoot problems in production environments.
- Ensure all integration work meets healthcare compliance and security standards like HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR.
- Implement best practices for integration development, including testing, error handling, and continuous integration.
- Partner with DevOps and QA teams to set up monitoring and alerting for system health.
- Stay informed on healthcare technology trends and apply innovations to improve system capabilities.
- Participate in agile development cycles, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Skilled in frontend languages such as Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
- Skilled in backend languages such as Python, Go, or C++.
- Experience with Git, GCP / AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, relational and non-relational databases, and monitoring tools.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement end-to-end solutions and make sound architectural decisions.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities for a fast-paced setting.
