About the role
Join the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Product Team to enhance the core operating system for healthcare practices. You will help scale and maintain our web infrastructure, ensuring a smooth user experience as we grow to support thousands of practices across the country. This role involves improving the reliability, scalability, and performance of our web applications while elevating the technical skills of the engineering team.

What you'll do
- Develop features for the Insights practice management platform, ensuring it supports thousands of practices and millions of users.
- Create and maintain scalable full-stack solutions using ReactJS, Python, and PostgreSQL.
- Enhance system reliability and observability through best practices in monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Optimize web application performance and scalability to provide seamless user experiences during rapid expansion.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and backend teams to ensure high availability and resilience of core functions.
- Lead high-impact projects, balancing development speed with quality in a fast-paced, high-ownership setting.
- Perform thorough code reviews, uphold best practices, and drive architectural improvements across the technology stack.
- Work closely with product and design teams to build intuitive, user-friendly experiences for healthcare providers and staff.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on building scalable full-stack applications.
- Proficiency in full-stack development, specifically with JavaScript (React/Vue), Python, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience leading multi-month, high-impact projects, managing trade-offs, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of modern front-end engineering, including React fundamentals, performance optimization, state management, and component-driven design.
- Experience with complex backend systems, including API design and database performance optimization.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on observability best practices (monitoring, logging, and alerting).
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting technical concepts effectively to leadership and cross-functional teams.

- Solid architectural skills with experience designing and maintaining highly scalable, reliable, and performant web applications.
- Experience scaling front-end applications in a rapidly growing, high-traffic environment.
- Deep understanding of frontend performance optimizations and the ability to diagnose bottlenecks in React applications.
- Strong product intuition with a history of influencing UX/UI decisions to improve usability.
- Background in data visualization and building interactive dashboards for analytics-heavy applications.
- Experience with developer tooling and CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications.
- Familiarity with modern API design patterns (GraphQL, REST, gRPC) and best practices in backend-for-frontend (BFF) architectures.
- Contributions to open-source projects or a strong engineering blog presence.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries (finance, insurance, government) with a focus on security and compliance.
- An interest in improving healthcare and healthcare operations in America.
