About the role
Join Collibra's Platform Infrastructure Engineering team to build and manage the core cloud infrastructure supporting all company services. You will play a vital role in advancing our multi-cloud, Kubernetes, and GitOps environment, enhancing efficiency and resilience. Key facts
What you'll do
- Enhance developer experience by creating automations and collaborating with development teams on platform capabilities.
- Contribute to the platform infrastructure architecture, working with colleagues on GitOps, infrastructure as code, and Kubernetes.
- Ensure operational reliability by participating in on-call duties, resolving complex issues, implementing security measures, and maintaining documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement by staying updated on platform engineering trends and implementing infrastructure automation enhancements.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years in Platform Engineering, SRE, or infrastructure roles, supported by a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and managing production Kubernetes environments and GitOps/IaC practices for tens to hundreds of clusters.
- Experience managing production workloads and infrastructure on major cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes clusters and managing containerized applications in production.
- Proven ability to write and maintain Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform, and proficiency in Golang or Python for automation tasks.
- Must be eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship.
- Must be a US citizen residing on US soil.
Nice to have
- CKA/CKAD certification.
- Experience with Istio or ArgoCD.
- Deep understanding of Linux, networking, and Kubernetes internals.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, including observability concepts like spans and traces (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, Honeycomb).
- Experience building controllers and other automation patterns for Kubernetes resource management.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Copilot) to solve business challenges and improve workflows.

Practical notes
- Base salary range: $168,000.00 - $210,000.00 annually.
