Senior Manager, Platform Operations
About the role
Lead the team responsible for the continuous operation and updates of the Collibra Platform for all enterprise clients. This includes managing incident resolution, change processes, release execution, and maintaining the health of the underlying infrastructure, ensuring 24x7 availability.

What you'll do
- Oversee 24x7 incident response, customer operations for our SaaS offering, and change management to ensure consistent platform reliability for every enterprise customer.
- Direct the deployment and operational management of the thousands of virtual machines that support the Collibra Platform, including weekly release deliveries, to maintain healthy, up-to-date, and secure customer environments.
- Develop succession and growth plans within the team's two specialized technical areas to foster individual strengths and team development.
- Drive the adoption of AI-powered automation for incident resolution, release processes, and internal tools to minimize manual work and modernize operational practices.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, security, finance, and support departments to align objectives, address cross-functional dependencies, and ensure compliance in a regulated setting.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years in an engineering capacity, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role overseeing incident response, release, or deployment operations for customer-facing SaaS production environments.
- Proven experience managing 24x7 production operations for customer-facing systems, including on-call schedules and escalation procedures.
- Experience working within FedRAMP or similar regulated compliance frameworks, including continuous monitoring and audit processes.
- Experience with enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, AWS GovCloud, and GCP. Experience with Azure is beneficial.
- Experience managing distributed infrastructure fleets, virtual machines, or containers that support production SaaS environments.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, or Copilot to address business challenges, achieve measurable results, or improve workflows.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
- Due to the nature of supporting the US government, this role requires US citizenship and residency within the United States.
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure.
Skills & tools
- Apply infrastructure automation and observability tools like Ansible, Terraform, Python, Kubernetes, and platforms such as Datadog or Prometheus/Grafana.
Practical notes
- Base salary range: $168,000 - $210,000 annually.
- This role is not eligible for commission.
- Salary offers are determined by factors including experience, skills, and location.
