About the role
As a Senior Customer Engineer, you will be a key technical advisor, guiding customers and prospects through the Collibra platform's capabilities. You will build strong relationships and provide expert guidance to ensure successful data management solutions.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Offer expert technical insights on Collibra's offerings to clients, potential clients, partners, and internal teams.
- Align solutions with customer value, addressing both business objectives and technical needs for large organizations.
- Support customer technical teams to maximize their use and benefit from the Collibra platform.
- Develop and maintain demonstration environments and guides for use by colleagues and partners.
- Provide feedback to the Product team based on field experiences and customer interactions to improve competitive positioning.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years in a customer-facing technical role such as Customer Engineering or Solutions Engineering, supporting enterprise software, combined with over 4 years of experience in the data industry.
- Solid understanding of at least two from: data governance, data catalogs, data integration, data quality, and data privacy platforms, particularly in relation to preparing data for AI.
- Familiarity with current cloud data architectures, including major PaaS providers, Data Lakes, Lakehouses, Cloud Warehouses (like Snowflake, Databricks), and API-based integration systems.
- Practical experience in setting up, connecting, and resolving issues with complex enterprise software.
- Proven ability to use AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, or Copilot to address business problems, achieve results, or improve processes.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

- Base salary range: $140,000 - $175,000 annually, plus commission.
- Compensation is determined by factors including experience, skills, and location.
