Senior AI Engineer, Unstructured AI

About the role

Join the Unstructured AI team to develop systems that extract and structure context from enterprise data. You will manage the full lifecycle of AI features, moving from initial prototypes to stable production deployments that handle massive document volumes.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain systems that ingest and enrich unstructured content like PDFs, reports, and contracts from distributed enterprise silos.
• Design and deploy production-grade backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Integrate diverse enterprise data sources including Salesforce, SharePoint, and internal APIs to provide context for AI models.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and sales teams to align technical delivery with business requirements.
• Contribute to frontend development tasks as needed.
• Maintain high engineering standards while navigating ambiguous project requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in Python for API development, data processing, and system integration.
• Experience building production systems with Big Data frameworks like Spark.
• Hands-on work with LLM-based enrichment models, including entity extraction, classification, PII detection, and deduplication.
• Understanding of microservice architecture, data pipelines, and API design.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both engineering and business stakeholders.
• Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Copilot to improve workflows.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of document AI workflows, metadata systems, or data cataloging.
• Experience with search relevance and model evaluation best practices.
