About the role

Cognition is an applied AI lab creating advanced software agents, including Devin, the first AI software engineer. This role focuses on integrating AI solutions directly into enterprise engineering teams. You will drive the adoption of AI tools, ensuring measurable productivity gains and shaping the future of AI implementation.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Integrate with enterprise engineering teams to ensure deep, lasting adoption of Devin.
• Design and implement AI-driven workflows across various engineering functions like QA and support.
• Lead interactive sessions, including workshops and pair programming, for enterprise teams.
• Guide clients through the setup, configuration, and optimization of Devin and related tools such as DeepWiki.
• Collaborate on production issues to demonstrate effective usage patterns and improve AI fluency.
• Quantify the impact of Devin by tracking productivity and demonstrating ROI.
• Work with leadership to convert field experiences into scalable playbooks and best practices.
• Develop enablement materials and shared playbooks based on customer interactions.

Requirements

• A degree in a STEM field or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in roles like software engineer, technical consultant, or solutions engineer, with strong coding skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages.
• Proven ability to explain complex technical topics to varied audiences.
• Demonstrated success in driving technical adoption and achieving measurable impact within engineering organizations.
• Strong business acumen, understanding how successful engagements contribute to account growth.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• A demonstrated capacity for rapid learning and adaptation.

Nice to have

• Experience leading developer enablement or internal AI modernization initiatives with documented metrics.
• Prior deployment or integration of large language models or agent-based systems in production.
• Experience founding or joining early-stage startups where autonomy and quick execution were essential.
• A drive to engineer outcomes that significantly increase a team's velocity.
