About the role
Join a team building the future of human-robot interaction. This role involves leading software product development for autonomous systems, specifically our robot, Proxie. You will guide cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions from concept to deployment.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of software for current and future robot features.
- Create and manage project plans to meet scope, timeline, and budget.
- Coordinate with software, hardware, operations, and customer teams to align goals.
- Identify and address potential risks and opportunities that could impact product or schedule.
- Provide technical and business guidance on how software engineering aligns with product needs.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues and work with engineering to resolve them.
- Find ways to improve and simplify existing processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field).
- 3+ years of program management experience, including software development for autonomous systems.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, with experience leading diverse teams.
- Experience guiding software teams in product development.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects using Agile or Scrum methodologies while meeting company goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly motivated team player with excellent communication skills.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Must have and maintain US work authorization.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of program management experience, including software development for autonomous systems.
- Experience integrating AI solutions into engineering deliverables.
- Experience managing software products routinely deployed into live operations.
- Strong understanding of software and hardware development processes, including system integration.
- Experience delivering products certified for functional safety.
- Experience with AI tools to enhance program management.
