What you'll do
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of software programs, from planning to delivery, for current and future robot models.
- Develop and manage project plans to meet scope, timeline, and resource requirements.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, operations, and customer-facing teams to align goals and deliverables.
- Identify and address potential risks and opportunities that could affect product development or schedules.
- Provide technical and business guidance to ensure software engineering aligns with customer needs.
- Resolve deployment issues by working closely with engineering teams.
- Continuously look for ways to improve and simplify processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, or a related field).
- 8+ years of program management experience, specifically with software products for autonomous systems.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, including leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience guiding software teams in developing new products.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects using methodologies like Agile or Scrum, while meeting company goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Highly motivated team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic startup environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Must have and maintain US work authorization.
Nice to have
- 10+ years of program management experience, including software products for autonomous systems.
- Experience integrating AI solutions into engineering deliverables.
- Experience managing software products deployed in live operations.
- Strong understanding of software and hardware development processes, including system integration.
- Experience delivering products certified for functional safety.
