What you'll do

• Manage the complete lifecycle of the Associate Engineer program, starting from onboarding and curriculum development to facilitating their transition into permanent roles within the company.
• Create and implement educational resources, which include practical exercises, certification pathways, and assessments that evaluate technical skills in areas such as Cloud, Security, and Workers, as well as soft skills like client engagement and sales techniques.
• Act as the primary liaison between University Recruiting, Sales Leadership, and Global Enablement teams to ensure that the program's results align with the hiring goals of the business.
• Provide direct oversight, mentorship, and performance evaluations for a cohort of Associates, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Monitor and analyze key metrics related to the program, such as the speed at which participants become productive, graduation rates, and the long-term achievements of program graduates.
• Promote Cloudflare's core values of curiosity and collaboration among new team members, ensuring they embody these principles in their work.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify the most suitable skills and allocate Associates to roles such as Customer Engineer or Business Development Representative, ensuring optimal placement based on their strengths.
• Continuously refine the program based on feedback and performance data to enhance the learning experience and outcomes for participants.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in roles related to technical enablement, program management, or client-facing technical positions such as Solutions Engineer or Professional Services.
• Proven track record in designing and overseeing structured training programs or large-scale technical education initiatives that yield measurable results.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with fundamental internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS), cloud security principles, or edge computing technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively teach technical concepts, including experience in developing structured learning paths and hands-on lab environments.
• Experience in influencing stakeholders and securing buy-in from senior leadership across sales and engineering teams.
• At least 2 years of experience in managing teams or leading significant cross-functional initiatives.
• Familiarity with modern sales frameworks, such as MEDDPICC, and the capability to incorporate these methodologies into technical training programs.

Nice to have

• Experience in designing and executing programs aimed at developing intern or associate-level technical talent.
• Background in performance measurement and program evaluation techniques.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the tech industry that could enhance training content.

• Compensation will be adjusted based on the location of the role.
• This position qualifies for incentive compensation as part of Cloudflare's Sales Compensation Plan.
• The role is also eligible for participation in Cloudflare's equity plan.
