Senior Customer Engineer

About the role

This position centers on managing the full technical lifecycle of enterprise accounts, acting as a primary advisor from initial discovery through long-term expansion. You will function as a quota-carrying technologist who utilizes AI-driven workflows to handle administrative tasks, allowing you to prioritize high-impact architectural design and customer success.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Collaborate with Account Executives to perform technical discovery, create custom architectures, and present product demonstrations or Proof of Concepts.
• Manage technical onboarding and implementation while serving as the main point of contact for customer engineering and executive stakeholders.
• Monitor customer health telemetry to ensure rapid value realization and address integration issues.
• Maintain commercial accountability by managing a quota for new business and account growth, including leading technical Quarterly Business Reviews for C-level leadership.
• Utilize AI agents and internal tools to automate routine processes like security questionnaire responses and sandbox provisioning.

Requirements

• Proven background in a customer-facing technical role such as Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering.
• Deep technical knowledge in web security, networking, including DNS, routing, and DDoS mitigation, as well as cloud infrastructure.
• Experience working in a revenue-aligned or quota-carrying environment with familiarity regarding SaaS metrics and enterprise sales cycles.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to C-suite stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with the Cloudflare developer platform and AI ecosystem, specifically Workers AI, AI Gateway, and Vectorize.
• Knowledge of RAG architectures, LLM orchestration, or prompt engineering.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or similar languages for creating API connectors and edge functions.
