ClickUp is building an AI-native workspace that combines tasks, documents, chat, calendar, and enterprise search. We are looking for a leader to manage the intersection of product and infrastructure, ensuring our platform scales while maintaining security and efficiency. You will guide a distributed team and define the cloud strategy for our global operations.

What you'll do

• Reduce infrastructure costs by moving data workloads to EKS and self-hosting services like OpenSearch.
• Consolidate frontend ALBs to a single EKS-managed ALB per shard to improve deployment speed.
• Build redundancy across Networking, OpenSearch, and Terraform to eliminate single points of failure.
• Create a recurring planning process with Product, AI, Enterprise, and Security teams to align infrastructure with business needs.
• Use Backstage to automate shard buildouts and reduce manual enterprise scaling tasks.
• Improve system reliability by hardening ingress patterns and implementing Terraform-policy guardrails to prevent unauthenticated public access.
• Manage a roadmap focused on agent enablement, centralized IaC, and deployment acceleration.
• Lead a distributed team of full-time employees and contractors across the US, Canada, and Europe.
• Oversee multi-million-dollar AWS budgets and vendor relationships with a focus on cost savings.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, including time in a director-level role managing distributed teams.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Mastery of AWS infrastructure, specifically EKS, networking (VPC, TGW, DNS), and Terraform.
• Experience setting and executing 6 to 12 month cloud roadmaps tied to enterprise and AI business goals.
• Proven ability to build partnerships across Product, Security, SRE, and Database teams.
• Strong operational background with experience in incident management and root cause analysis.
• Security-focused mindset regarding authentication and network isolation.
• Experience with DevSecOps agents and AI-assisted infrastructure migrations.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, including GPU orchestration, model-serving platforms, or cost-optimized inference compute.
