About the role
This position involves directing the strategy and commercial growth of the North America Custody business. You will manage the product roadmap for clearing and custody solutions, focusing on financial market infrastructure and risk management for global institutional clients.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and implement the North America Custody product roadmap, prioritizing clearing capabilities and infrastructure connectivity.
- Partner with sales teams to secure mandates by applying technical knowledge of the post-trade lifecycle.
- Oversee the Custody PNL, including setting revenue goals and managing capital efficiency.
- Create pricing frameworks such as bundled or tiered models and perform risk-return analysis.
- Manage the product lifecycle for funds and ETFs, coordinating with market makers and central clearing agencies.
- Maintain relationships with senior client leadership to identify growth opportunities and review product performance.
- Collaborate with operations, risk, and technology departments to launch product enhancements.
- Translate regulatory shifts and market infrastructure updates into product strategy.
Requirements
- 6 to 10 years of experience in securities services, with at least 3 years in product design, management, or solution architecture within clearing or custody.
- Experience with financial market infrastructures like DTC, FICC, or NSCC, including settlement and asset servicing flows.
- Knowledge of risk and credit frameworks, including collateral management, margin requirements, and intraday credit.
- Proficiency in messaging standards such as ISO 20022 and SWIFT MT/MX.
- Understanding of regulatory rules including SEC Rule 17f-5, UCITS, and ETF Rule 6c-11.
- Experience leading RFP processes, legal negotiations, and client fee discussions.
- Ability to perform financial modeling and P&L management.
- Familiarity with fund technology ecosystems, including accounting platforms, order management systems, and API integrations.
- Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Background at a clearing broker, global custodian, or financial market infrastructure provider.
- Experience in fund administration or ETF operations.
- Knowledge of blockchain technology and digital assets.
- Ability to use data analytics or AI to improve operational scale.
- Professional certifications such as CAIA, FRM, or CFA.
