About the role

Ciandt is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Technology team in Colombia. You will lead the design and architecture of scalable systems while focusing on AI integration and cloud-native development.

What you'll do

• Design and manage distributed, cloud-native systems from initial infrastructure setup to production deployment.
• Create Architecture Decision Records to set long-term technical standards.
• Convert complex business goals into actionable technical roadmaps.
• Guide team members through code reviews and design critiques to improve overall output.
• Manage infrastructure-as-code using AWS CDK.

Requirements

• C1 level proficiency in English or higher.
• Significant professional software development experience beyond internships.
• Extensive programming background in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Proven track record in leading system architecture, focusing on reliability, design patterns, and scaling.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, AWS Bedrock, SQS, SNS, and ECS.
• Demonstrated ability to make architectural choices regarding performance, cost, and scalability.
• Experience in a tech lead, mentor, or engineering team lead capacity.
• History of deploying complex, performant software solutions into production environments.
• Interest or experience in generative AI.

Nice to have

• Bachelor degree in computer science or a related field.
• Full software development life cycle experience, covering testing, operations, source control, and build processes.
• Proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Practical experience with AI development tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
• Familiarity with AI agent orchestration frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, LlamaIndex, or LangChain.
