About the role
Ciandt is looking for an experienced Data MDM Architect to join a high-impact engagement for a US-based client in the carbon credit and ESG advisory sector. You will serve as a strategic advisor and hands-on technical lead, building a unified data architecture to manage complex, high-volume information across five core platforms.

What you'll do
- Evaluate existing multi-platform data structures to identify technical debt and integration risks.
- Define and implement a master data management strategy to create a single source of truth for products, counterparties, and contacts.
- Build enterprise-grade data governance frameworks covering lineage, ownership, and access control.
- Design scalable integration patterns using Azure middleware to ensure data synchronization.
- Collaborate directly with US-based technical leadership to guide architectural decisions and roadmap development.
- Perform SWOT analysis to determine the viability of custom versus off-the-shelf MDM solutions.
Requirements
- Advanced English proficiency (C1 or higher) with the ability to influence executive stakeholders.
- Proven background in Data Architecture and MDM strategy within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Experience designing data governance in regulated sectors like financial services, commodity trading, or energy.
- Ability to work autonomously in an embedded role, driving decisions without a dedicated support team.
- Technical experience with Azure-based data architectures and middleware tools such as Azure Functions or Logic Apps.
Nice to have
- Hands-on expertise in NetSuite ERP and Salesforce CRM data modeling.
- Background in carbon markets, ESG data, or financial trading platforms.
- Familiarity with Data Mesh or Data Fabric architectural patterns.
- Knowledge of RAG-based AI strategies for enterprise data.
- Experience with contract lifecycle management systems.
- Professional certifications such as DAMA CDMP or Azure Solutions Architect.
