As an Air Traffic Controller at Bamboohr, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of air traffic operations. What you'll do

• Manage the safe and orderly flow of air traffic in designated airspace, ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with pilots, providing clear instructions and updates regarding flight paths, weather conditions, and any potential hazards.
• advanced radar and communication technology to monitor aircraft movements and maintain situational awareness.
• Coordinate with ground control to manage aircraft movements on the runway and taxiways, ensuring safe takeoffs and landings.
• Analyze flight plans and make adjustments as necessary to optimize air traffic flow and minimize delays.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, providing guidance to pilots and coordinating with emergency services as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of air traffic operations, including flight logs and incident reports, for regulatory compliance and safety audits.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements.
• Collaborate with other air traffic controllers and aviation personnel to develop and implement best practices for air traffic management.
• Engage in regular debriefings and assessments to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior controllers, fostering a culture of safety and excellence within the team.
• Contribute to the development of operational procedures and policies to enhance the efficiency and safety of air traffic operations.

Requirements

• Valid Air Traffic Control certification from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in air traffic control or a related field.
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
• Proficient in the use of air traffic control systems and technology, including radar and communication equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
