About the role

Chime is looking for a technical leader to join the Early Stage Experience team to optimize the initial member journey. You will guide the architecture of high-traffic systems and utilize AI and LLM capabilities to improve internal productivity and personalize user interactions.

What you'll do

• Architect and build member-facing systems within the Growth stack.
• Define technical strategy for high-traffic environments while maintaining reliability and latency standards.
• Develop infrastructure to support rapid experimentation and iteration.
• Address systemic performance and availability issues that impact conversion.
• Partner with Design, Product, Analytics, and Data teams to ensure technical feasibility.
• Provide mentorship to senior engineers and improve engineering standards across the organization.
• Represent the company through recruiting, community engagement, and technical speaking.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Expertise in system design, service boundaries, and product-engineering tradeoffs for high-traffic consumer platforms.
• Proven history of driving measurable impact in activation, conversion, or growth-related product areas.
• Practical experience with experimentation, including instrumentation, test design, and analysis.
• Ability to influence technical direction and lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• This role is onsite in San Francisco.
