About the role
Checkr is creating the identity infrastructure necessary to secure modern hiring processes against increasing threats from synthetic identities and AI-driven fraud. You will lead the strategy for our fraud prevention products, building systems that verify candidates while maintaining a high-quality experience for legitimate users. This role involves deep collaboration with engineering and operations to scale our platform and protect organizations from sophisticated bad actors.

What you'll do
- Define the product roadmap and strategy for identity risk solutions, including APIs, dashboards, and partner integrations.
- Perform market research and engage with strategic customers to identify and prioritize high-impact product opportunities.
- Coordinate across R&D, GTM, Business Development, Finance, and Operations to align on priorities and execute feature releases.
- Act as the primary product expert for stakeholders and external audiences, including industry events and community platforms.
- Track product performance and identify areas for platform expansion.
- Influence executive leadership through clear communication of strategic goals and product impact.
Requirements
- 9+ years of product management experience focused on identity verification, fraud prevention, risk modeling, and hiring-fraud detection.
- Demonstrated expertise in threat modeling, anomaly detection, identity proofing, biometrics, and document verification.
- Technical proficiency to discuss system architecture, data infrastructure, and AI model capabilities with engineering and data science teams.
- Extensive knowledge of recruiting workflows, ATS integrations, and hiring compliance.
- Proven track record of building scalable platforms rather than temporary fixes.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

- Compensation for San Francisco is $247,000 to $290,000 USD.
- Compensation for Denver is $208,000 to $245,000 USD.
