About the role

Checkr is seeking a strategic HR partner to support our Legal, People, and Finance leadership teams. You will guide organizational design, talent strategy, and cultural development while championing the integration of AI tools into our internal operations.

What you'll do

• Advise senior leaders on workforce planning, organizational structure, and talent strategy.
• Manage complex employee relations, performance improvement plans, and high-stakes terminations.
• Lead change management for restructures and M&A integration.
• Oversee succession planning, talent calibration, and leadership development.
• Analyze people data and attrition trends to create proactive business interventions.
• Execute enterprise-wide HR programs like compensation planning and performance cycles within your client group.
• Coach managers on leadership capability and feedback culture.
• Partner with the Talent team to align headcount strategy with business goals.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience.
• 3+ years of experience as an HRBP supporting Director-level or higher leadership.
• Hands-on experience using or building AI-driven solutions for HR processes.
• Proven ability to navigate organizational change and complex workforce planning.
• Deep expertise in employment law and performance management.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage confidential information with discretion.
• Experience using people analytics to drive decision-making.
• Proficiency in Workday.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills.

Practical notes

• Salary range: $165,000 to $194,000 USD.
