About the role
Join the Quote Plant Market Data Platform team to maintain and evolve the infrastructure that delivers real-time financial data to millions of users. You will manage the full lifecycle of high-volume, low-latency systems while modernizing legacy components to improve platform performance and reliability.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Build and modernize software services for equities, options, futures, forex, and cryptocurrency data.
- Manage end-to-end system development, including production support, operational tasks, and automation.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and infrastructure partners within an Agile framework.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues to ensure platform resiliency and scalability.
- Integrate AI-enabled tools to enhance engineering productivity, observability, and software delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in Java and object-oriented design principles.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs and web services.
- Practical knowledge of Linux or Unix environments.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Proficiency with Git for source control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Nice to have
- Background in distributed systems, event-driven architecture, or service-oriented design.
- Familiarity with messaging tools like Kafka, IBM MQ, or RabbitMQ.
- Understanding of multithreading, networking, memory management, and performance tuning.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience supporting legacy C++ codebases during Java modernization projects.
- Background in financial services or trading technology.
- Knowledge of AI frameworks and tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, OpenAI, or RAG.
