Claims Process Documentation & Training Specialist

This position focuses on creating and maintaining clear documentation and training for our claims processes, ensuring operational efficiency and accuracy. You will be instrumental in shaping how our claims team understands and executes workflows.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Develop, document, and update comprehensive claims business processes and workflows, making them easy to understand and use for the claims team.
• Test claims workflows within Javelina and HRP to verify they function correctly and match system settings.
• Create step-by-step guides in Confluence for all new claims processes, including relevant screenshots.
• Manage all existing claims documentation in Confluence, including revisions, archiving, and deletion of outdated content.
• Design and build a user-friendly structure and search system for documentation.
• Produce training and reference materials for various claims roles, such as Processors, Auditors, and Recovery Analysts.
• Deliver specialized training on new processes, system updates, or operational projects.
• Assist with onboarding new Claims department hires through training.
• Collaborate with POP, Core Platform, and PMO teams to ensure documentation aligns with training, system configurations, and company standards.
• Act as a subject matter expert for POP, reviewing and advising on the accuracy and sequencing of training content for new hires and enhancements.
• Provide support to claims operations by processing claims when needed to manage workload.

Requirements

• Possess strong written and verbal communication abilities, enabling effective collaboration and subject matter expertise sharing.
• Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, with experience managing documentation and training resources.
• Understand instructional design principles and can translate complex claims processes into clear learning materials.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport and work effectively with colleagues.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare claims within a payer or TPA setting, with a solid grasp of medical claims processing.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience writing detailed process documentation or developing training materials for operational teams.
• Experience testing workflows or processes in claims systems to ensure accuracy and functionality.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience delivering instructor-led or virtual training sessions for claims or healthcare operations teams.
• Familiarity with claims platforms like Javelina and HRP, including navigation and testing.
