What you'll do
- Lead the design and development of software applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality code and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure software reliability and performance.
- Optimize existing software applications for improved performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on technical challenges and career development.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform software development strategies.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Document software designs, architectures, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure software solutions meet their needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile and Scrum.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
