Key facts
What you'll do
- Formulate and implement effective sourcing strategies aimed at attracting talent across various domains, including Research, Machine Learning Engineering, Platform Engineering, and Product Engineering.
- Actively seek out candidates by attending academic conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, and ICLR, as well as exploring research publications and platforms like GitHub and Hugging Face.
- Maintain a steady pipeline of passive candidates to meet both immediate and future hiring requirements.
- Craft tailored outreach messages that resonate with highly skilled technical professionals, enhancing engagement.
- Serve as the first point of contact for candidates, ensuring they have a positive and informative experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers and the recruitment team to refine job requirements and establish effective search parameters.
- Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to improve sourcing techniques and attract top talent.
- Utilize data-driven insights to assess the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and make necessary adjustments.
- Foster relationships with potential candidates, keeping them informed about opportunities and developments within Cartesia.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss sourcing progress and share insights on candidate engagement.
- Contribute to employer branding initiatives that highlight Cartesia's culture and values to attract top-tier talent.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in technical sourcing, particularly in engineering recruitment.
- Familiarity with technical concepts in areas such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, or large-scale systems.
- Expertise in Boolean search techniques, talent mapping, and navigating various online technical ecosystems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Proven experience in managing candidate pipelines using applicant tracking systems effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Experience in sourcing candidates for AI or tech startups.
- Familiarity with diversity and inclusion initiatives in recruitment.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages or technical tools relevant to engineering roles.
- Previous experience in a high-growth company environment.
- Understanding of the latest trends in AI and machine learning technologies.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
- Familiarity with sourcing tools and platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and various job boards.
- Competence in data analysis to track sourcing metrics and candidate engagement.
- Strong networking skills to build relationships within the tech community.
